Procrastination is a common problem among students, who often feel overwhelmed managing time between studies, extracurricular activities, sports, family, and the changes of adolescence. No matter what the reason, Be Easy has separated 5 simple ways to end procrastination:

1. Create a schedule and follow it

  • Having a schedule for all of your daily tasks is essential to stay organized and have an idea of how long each task will take.
  • Following the schedule is just as important as doing it, otherwise there would be no point in creating it.
  • Reward yourself every time you follow your schedule (and complete it!) , whether after a week or a month - whatever works best for you.
  • Keeping a schedule is especially important if you're planning Learn language abroad, since balancing studies with the exploration of a new culture can be challenging.

2. Divide your tasks into smaller parts

  • No matter how cryptic a task may seem at first glance, if you break it down into smaller tasks, they become much more understandable and seem actually doable.
  • Instead of stressing out looking at the amount of work that needs to be done, it's always a good idea to have a bunch of easier and smaller tasks to complete than 2-3 extensive tasks.
  • This strategy is particularly useful if you're preparing to study at a university abroad, where the workload can be intense.

3. Stay away from distractions

  • If you know it's time to work, keep distractions away from you, such as your phone or laptop.
  • Go to a quiet environment where no one can disturb or interrupt you.
  • Make sure to do this religiously, because if you have people or devices that hinder your ability to work.
  • Staying away from conversation circles will help you focus and do so much more.

4. Finish what you started

  • Don't leave your seat until you finish the task you started.
  • If you start to disperse to do other activities, first complete what you set out to do and then reward yourself with a break.
  • Once your flow is interrupted, it's harder to get back on track.

5. Invite a friend to join you

  • Having a friend who also “suffers” from procrastination and working together will allow both of you to control each other and ensure that you're not getting distracted and following your schedules.
  • It's a win-win situation for both!
